Walter T. Gamard, II

Walter Thomas Gamard II was born and raised in New Orleans where he graduated from Jesuit High School (honors program) in 1960. He then received a business degree in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame in 1964 along with a commission as a Second Lieutenant from the U.S. Army ROTC program. He went on to obtain a J.D degree from the Tulane University School of LAW in 1967 and was that year admitted to the LA State Bar Association where he remains a member in good standing. From 1967 to 1969 he served on active duty with the with the U.S. Army, Field Artillery Branch, including a year’s tour of duty in the Republic of South Vietnam assigned to the 4th Infantry Division with the rank of captain. Thereafter he served until 1975 in the Ready Reserves as an officer in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps and received an honorable discharge in 1977.
